Saskia Diez is an independent jewellery company launched in 2007, lingering somewhere between fine and fashion jewellery, based in Munich, Germany. Saskia Diez was trained as a goldsmith and in industrial design. Her eponymous jewellery line reflects this background, showring an eye for shaping unique materials in refreshingly modern ways. The brand is known for sophisticated and distinct creations. All of the designs display great elegance and gentle subtlety, yet at the same time are playful and sexy. Every collection is a new interpretation of classic jewellery design, giving each pieces a contemporary look as well as a timeless aesthetic.
Saskia Diez' jewellery is designed for modern women and men who seek to adorn themselves with jewellery which will emphasise their personalities. Like a person's character, her jewellery unfolds before the eyes of the beholder, showing different facets and aspects every time you look at them.
Saskia Diez completes a classic apprenticeship as a goldsmith and went on to study industrial design. She worked at various design studios, including Rosenthal, Christian Haas and Konstantin Grcic, before setting up her own studio in Munish. Her designs play with cultural references and display influences of art, fashion and industrial design, reflecting the zeitgeist without being trend driven. Her works are displayed in group exhibitions in Germany, France and Japan. Saskia Diez lives and works in Munich.

The main element in the Barbelle Collection is a barbell-like part, functioning like a toggle clasp. A massive silver bar with two spheres at each end, made either from sterling silver or from crispy white stone. Combined with a chain of which every eyelet is flattened and has mirroring facets. There is a bracelet, a long necklace and one in choker-length all featuring the barbell element. Barbelle has a strong and bold character.
The Bold collection is made up on polished tube-like pieces, with a round cross section repeating the circle in the overall shape. The key pieces are the simple ones, consisting out of only one part, circles with an opening. The ear cuff, the bangle, the necklace are cool when you put them on, but quickly adapting to your body temperature. The material is brass, either with 18 kt gold or a sterling silver -plating, just the silver version of the ear-cuff is made in massive sterling silver.
This collection focuses on two pieces for the girl and two for the boy, being the same just differing in size. The collection is made up on a bracelet and a necklace. It is made from an airy but massive chain consisting of stretched eyelets giving the pieces a rather rough character. With a big hook and ring serving as a clasp. The girlfriend necklace has a choker length, the boyfriend necklace is a classic mens length. Other then that the pieces are equal, the material is polished sterling silver.
This collection is based on the ancient habit of precious stone dealers to emphasise the colour of the stones they are showing by stringing them on a coloured silk. If you take away the silk the stones are often colourless. This collection Saskia has used a grey silk which gives them a subtle silver shimmer, like dew drops they collection light and glow on your skin, adapting to the colour of the fabric they are layering on.
The MESH collection was designed for all the nice parties and celebrations. The earrings earrings are decorative and big, but they are still lightweight due to the airy mesh. The materials is bronze with either 18 kt gold-plating or pure silver plating.
This collection is manufactured in Ida Oberstein, the classic area in Germany for stonecutting, they have done the BOLD earcuff in a couple of stone variations. Pearls are always an important element in Saskia’s collections, for the new pearl collection they have played with different sizes, getting in some organic moments, whilst using large graphic shapes. Materials are freshwater pearls and 14kt gold. The gold used in recycled.
